Tendaba
After an early breakfast the drive to Tendaba will offer a great variety of wildlife as you travel inland.
Hadada Ibis may be seen in the rice fields and occasional stops may bring sights of Booted Eagle, Village Indigobird, Scarlet-chested Sunbird, African Yellow White-eye, Black-rumped Waxbill and White-backed Vulture among the many species possible. Near Tendaba you may even be lucky enough to spot the unmistakable profile of the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill.
Once at Tendaba Camp there will be the opportunity to explore one of the creeks that penetrate deep into the mangrove forest. With the motor cut and drifting quietly you may hear and see Blue-breasted Kingfisher, Mouse-brown Sunbird, Fairy-blue Flycatcher, Spur-winged Goose and Woolly-necked Stork.
