Lamin Lodge
Lamin is one of many locations to visit and you may take a boat trip here around the tidal creeks to explore the rich mangrove forests. There are Fiddler Crabs and Mudskippers to be seen on the mud exposed at low tide, as well as the oysters visible on the mangroves. You might come across local oyster fishers gathering the delicacies for the nearby markets.
Here at Lamin you can expect to see many species, including Goliath Heron, African Fish Eagle, African Darter, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, Sacred Ibis, Malachite Kingfisher, Great White Pelican and Gull-billed Tern.
A walk at Lamin will bring you a great variety – possibly Rufous-crowned Roller, Swallow-tailed Bee-eater, Variable Sunbird and Senegal Coucal. Pin-tailed Whydah and Greater-painted Snipe may also be seen.
